My art making is a multi-faceted discipline. I create both abstract art and figurative art with women. This portfolio shows mostly paintings on canvas, collage work, and digital paintings that show both the struggles of being a woman in today’s society and also the beautiful parts of being a woman today. I express these emotions and struggles of who I am in a unique way through different types of art. My art is an act of resistance as a woman and is inherently feminist. I am an artist to share my work, connect with others, and explain my experience. I have been working on art for 20 years and I am always reflecting, improving, and refining my art practice. My hope is that you connect with my work and connect it to our own emotions, experiences, or your own life. I am also an Art Educator and this inspires and motivates me to be persistent with my ideas and share my love of art with my students.
